Okanagan e-bike rentals

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can we find you?

We are a mobile e-bike rental service so it’s easy to book online and then you meet us at our central pick up and return location at Gordon Dr. and Lequime Rd. to pick up your bike…look for our orange trailer!

We do provide customized drop off/pick up locations for a fee. Email us at hello@velovolt.ca to enquire.

What kind of e-bikes do you rent?
Our bikes are the Allant+ 7 by Trek. The Allant+7 is an award-winning performance e-bike built for riders and commuters who want a stylish, durable e-bike with the added road-smoothing benefits of a suspension fork. A powerful Bosch drive system, quality parts, and a wealth of thoughtful design details make this electric bike a one of a kind experience!
How much is it to rent a bike?

For a 4 hour rental, the cost is $75. For a full day (8 hour) rental, the cost is $115.

Do you rent to kids?

We are only able to rent our bikes to ages 19+. We require ID verification when you pick up your bike and sign the waiver.

What size are the bikes?
Our fleet comfortably fits anyone 5’2’ and up…our helpful staff will make adjustments to ensure a safe and comfortable ride
What is included in the rental?

Your bike rental includes a certified e-bike helmet, a lock, a water proof bike bag, a first-aid kit, hand sanitizer, a mask, and self-guided tour maps.

We have water bottle holders so please remember to bring a bottle!

Where do I pick up and drop off the bike?
We will meet you in the large parking area in the Mission Library + Capital News Centre area at 4105 Gordon Drive; you won’t be able to miss our big orange trailer! This area provides free parking and easy access to the greenway where your adventure awaits!
Do you offer other pick up and drop of locations?
Yes! Customize your very own tour from your home or hotel. There is a surcharge for travel based on distance, please email us with your desired pickup and drop off locations and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
What is your bike theft policy?
Riders are financially responsible for rental bikes and equipment from the time it is released to your custody until the time it is dropped off at the specified rental location.
What if the bike is damaged?
Riders are financially responsible for coverage of any damages to the bikes beyond regular “wear and tear”.
What do I need to bring?
We like to think it is sunny and warm everyday in the Okanagan…however…be prepared! Bring close-toed shoes, plenty of water, a layer to protect from wind or rain and a small snack. Our bikes are equipped with “trunk bags” which will easily fit your essential items, and still have room for any small purchases you may make along your tour.
Is there an option for a guided tour?
Yes! Our guides are thrilled to lead tours. First select the desired time-slot to see if a guide is available to join. Then “add guide” before checkout. Email us at any time with custom guided-tour questions  as we are happy to explore other areas with you.
What if I’ve never been on an e-bike before?
Don’t worry! E-bike riding is fun and easy! Our staff will provide an overview of e-bike safety and proper usage upon pick-up.
What happens if I'm late dropping the bike back off?
Bikes must be ready for pick-up at the time specified prior to rental. Late returns will be charged at $20 / hour per bike.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! You can purchase them by emailing us at booking@velovolt.ca
Do I need to make reservations in advance of visiting any local establishments?

Yes, with the new regulations around Covid we would recommend deciding in advance if you want to stop anywhere to check with them in advance and see what the protocols are.
